Artist's Comments

36"x36" Acrylic and Oil on canvas. I wanted light to play a vital role in this piece as if it's telling the story. I've continued experimenting with light, trying to find other ways to create that glow. By simply flowing the color of the figure in the negative adjacent areas, I was able to achieve this.

Very nice. The place she's sleeping on with the fireflies about her seems surreal.

Beyond words? I've always wondered, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then it's a novel. But a painting.... Hmm?

Thanks for you comment and the favorite add.

The place she sleeping on was a very hard, uncomfortable surface. But I took out to dinner later that evening, so it's all good. Thanks for your comment.

Well a painting is worth much more, especially if thought and imagination went into its creation.
